Here is How Celebrities Get Glowing Skin for the Gala Red Carpet

How Celebrities Make Their skin Glowing?

There is a short list of goddess-handed facialists who work some serious skin care magic on the days leading up the Met Gala. One of the most beloved New York City facialists, Georgia Louise, is right up at the top of that list (last year, we voted her as one of the best facialists in New York City).

According to Looks Charm, With clients like Emma Stone, Amy Schumer, and Alexander Wang, Louise has become notorious for using carefully-vetted chemical formulas and a gravity-defying lifting massage in her crystal-laden, art deco atelier on the Upper East Side.
For big events red carpet events, one of Louise’s best secret weapons when her clients' skin need a last minute glow-inducing boost is her vitamin C peel, which she calls the The Intense C Peel. “It's the most brightening peel and instantly makes skin more luminous,” she says. “If you know How to store water in skin?, there is no downtime or redness, so you’re immediately ready to go, and the brightness lasts for up to two weeks.” While the in-office treatment has well over a dozen steps (involving LED lights and a lifting massage), Louise told us how to get similar instant glow benefits at home. Just a little at-home activity for you while the red carpet photos roll in.

Step 3: Use a toner to balance the pH of your skin. (Find a list of our favorite toners here.)
Step 4: Apply a vitamin C treatment. (See recommendations below.)
Step 5: After leaving the treatment on skin for the amount of time directed on the box, remove with a warm damp cloth.
Step 6: Moisturize with your usual hydrating step.

Which vitamin C treatment should you get? Louise recommends Environ Ionzyme C-Quence Energising Masque, but also like Medik8 CE-Thione Serum and Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Face Mask. “When shopping for a vitamin C Peel, you always want to go with either a powdered form or a stand alone serum or mask, that hasn’t been mixed with anything,” she explains. “A powdered form is best because it’s more fresh and therefore [more] potent for the skin. Powdered forms often come with liquids to be combined with however, it’s the powder that is the active ingredient.”

Plus, regular use of vitamin C has major long term benefits, too, which is part of why it’s so beloved among derms. “Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, stimulates collagen, which means tightening and reducing fine lines,” says Louise. “It’s also a great antioxidant to protect the skin and a tyrosinase inhibitor to help prevent brown spots and make skin bright.” Well, isn’t that brilliant?
